Internet Communication Records (ICR)

The network traffic generated by users and applications can be large and complex. Simply checking a single e-mail, using a web-mail service or any popular streaming video application may result in thousands of IP packets, hundreds of flows and involve many servers. Internet Communication Records (ICR) reduce this data to events of interest and flow-level statistics (e.g. packet/byte count, application type), However, in a nationwide, multi-carrier deployment, the amount of traffic to be monitored, analyzed and stored is enormous. To deploy a solution that is cost effective and provides useful forensic value, SS8 is using a proprietary methodology, to compress the amount of traffic monitored, processed and stored without compromising the forensic value of the data for detailed Lawful Intelligence.
