Solutions for Intelligence

Solutions > Intelligence Agencies

In today’s world, threats to personal safety and national security require the identification of threats known and unknown. SS8 works with agencies globally to provide the latest in techniques and technologies to address these threats.

At SS8 we distinguish between the needs of service providers, law enforcement and intelligence gathering agencies. We understand that while certain products may be applicable to all three groups, the way they are used, controlled and deployed will vary based on regional policies and legislation. With that in mind we have developed our products so that they can be combined to provide a comprehensive intercept solution or operate as stand-alone modules serving specific needs.

The two fundamental requirements of any intercept solution are executing Network Intercepts and performing Investigative Analysis. SS8 offers products for each of these areas which can be combined to fulfill many different intercept scenarios.

Network Intercept:
The identification of the intercept access points in the network, correlating traffic from different network entry points, key word or string searches, consolidation of intercepted traffic from various intercept points and securely managing the whole thing end-to-end is performed in tandem by SS8 Xcipio® and SS8 AXS-2500™.

The AXS-2500 probe performs passive intercepts across a variety of network protocols based on specific targeting criteria (phone number, email address, IP address, website URL, etc.) or very general criteria using string searches.

Xcipio supports interfaces with 65 different versions of network equipment, a variety of protocols, 15 different delivery standards, and 20 different target identifiers. Xcipio is deployed in all major types of networks and can be configured many different ways (nationwide centralized solutions, active-standby, geographic redundancy pairs, small service providers with individual switches, large nationwide service providers with many different network elements and types of equipment, remote access, local access, etc.)

Investigative Analysis:
FoxReplay™ Analyst offers a unique value proposition in the way it recreates the Internet experience of any target. Far better than traditional packet analyzers, Internet reconstruction allows the investigator to see and repeat everything the target did as they explored the Internet. All of the activities are summarized and stored as meta-data allowing quick location and retrieval of events that prove to be historically important. This aids in the identification of users that visited target websites, posted documents, used certain webmail services and a host of other activities.

With features and configurations that can be activated to meet various needs, SS8’s end-to-end offering provides a very flexible architecture to meet many different scenarios.
