SS8’s Xcipio mediation platform provisions the intercepts, converts “raw” network traffic and signaling into a standard format, maps traffic to the appropriate intercept order, generates metadata and delivers it all in real-time to law enforcement. As the command and control function sitting at the heart of any intercept implementation, Xcipio’s duties are split between interfacing with the network elements (switches, routers, AXS probes), managing all of the intercepted traffic and getting that information to government and law enforcement. Xcipio is the fastest, most highly scalable platform of its kind, supporting >100 distinct versions of >50 different network elements from >20 different telecommunication vendors. SS8 has steadfastly kept up with the industry’s fast pace of development to VoIP, ipv6, and now 4G/LTE. Today, SS8 has over 250 deployments in more than 30 countries supporting more than 500 million subscribers. Our ability to determine and address the best place to perform an intercept in any kind of network, and collect that information to get it quickly and accurately to the appropriate government or law enforcement agency has enabled SS8 to build a dedicated following of provider customers. Xcipio supports more than 100 different network interfaces, allowing it to connect to a wide range of network equipment. This kind of connectivity requires extensive knowledge of protocols, call flows and network operations in order to properly and accurately intercept communications networks. SS8’s experience and expertise with these interfaces allows for a free flow of real-time information from the intercept access points in the network, through Xcipio and delivery to law enforcement. Delivery of intercepted traffic requires compliance with a multitude of international delivery standards designed for specific technology (ex: CDMA vs. GSM) and which contain numerous variants to meet local regulations and requirements.
